イモーテル（学名：Helichrysum italicum）
一般に「永久花」として知られる地中海地方東部原産の植物。香りの強いハーブで６０ｃｍほどの高さに育ち、鮮やかな色の太陽のような花をつけます。
さて、そんなイモーテルをＬ’ＯＣＣＩＴＡＮＥというアロマ系のブランドに見つけてしまいました！！
さてここからはそのＬ’ＯＣＣＩＴＡＮＥのＨＰから抜粋です。
そのイモーテルの花からエッセンシャルオイル
（精油）が蒸留されます。イモーテルの名前は太陽を意味する「ヘリオス」と金を意味する「クリソ」に由来します。それは永遠・栄光・美徳を象徴します。イモーテルはせいちょうすると花が乾燥していきますが、その色は褪せることなく花も萎れません。
ふんわりとしてかわいらしいイモーテルのプリザーブドは私も好きでよく使っています。ギリシャ神話の中ではずっと美しくいられる小道具として登場したりもします。そして、今も商品化されていたとは…勉強になりました。
